At Millarco International, we actively work to ensure that our products are produced with thoughtfulness and responsibility.

FSC® is the world's most ambitious global certification for responsible forest management. FSC® ensures that you receive wood and other materials from well-managed forests and other responsible sources, such as recycled materials. As the only certification and labeling scheme of its kind, FSC® is supported by recognized NGOs such as WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) and Forests of the World.

When you purchase FSC®-certified products, you help ensure good social conditions and biodiversity in forests around the world. In FSC-certified forests, no more trees are harvested than the forest can naturally regenerate.

Since 2020, the proportion of our wood-based products has continued to grow.

Our Commitment

At Millarco International A/S, we take pride in taking active and responsible steps toward the future. Solar panels on the roof of our headquarters are just one of many initiatives we have implemented to reduce our environmental impact. We continuously seek new ways to improve our business practices and inspire others to do the same.

Elretur

Elretur Denmark is a collective Danish scheme representing various industries and company types. Elretur manages producer responsibility for electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE, 'Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment', 'e-waste') as well as batteries on behalf of its members. Elretur is a non-profit organization that ensures the collection and handling of part of the electronic and battery waste delivered to recycling centers across the country. https://elretur.dk/en/

Recycling and reuse are an integral part of our organization and daily operations. Along with other members, Elretur works to recover as many materials as possible from the waste stream through reuse and recycling.

Solar Panels

At Millarco, we are committed to promoting sustainability through innovative and environmentally friendly solutions. We believe in the possibility of a greener future, which is why we installed solar panels on the roof of our headquarters in 2021. These solar panels generate a significant portion of the energy we use in our daily operations. Installing solar panels is a natural part of our commitment to responsible corporate practices.

Amfori BSCI

At Millarco International, we support the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), which was launched by the Foreign Trade Association with the recognition that international trade is an important driver of increased prosperity and socio-economic growth. This code of conduct (amfori BSCI Code of Conduct) is a set of principles and values that reflect the beliefs of amfori BSCI participants and the expectations they have for their business partners.

The amfori BSCI Code of Conduct is based on international conventions such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Rights of the Child and Business Principles, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, OECD guidelines, the UN Global Compact conventions and recommendations, and the International Labour Organization (ILO). These frameworks are essential for improving working conditions throughout the supply chain.

Companies that adhere to the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct commit to following the principles outlined in this document and fulfilling their responsibility to respect human rights wherever they have influence. At Millarco International, we believe it is important to take responsibility for our impact on the world around us, which is why we subscribe to the amfori BSCI initiative.

Cancer Society – Business Partner 2024-25

Since 2004, Millarco International has supported the Danish Cancer Society as a business partner.

A partnership that makes a difference – and will continue to do so because:

• Research saves lives. Our researchers work every day to ensure that cancer is detected earlier, treatments become more gentle, and more cancer survivors can enjoy a good quality of life after diagnosis.

• No one should face cancer alone. The Danish Cancer Society provides free counseling and support, including through the Cancer Helpline and advisory centers across the country.

• More than 4 out of 10 cancer cases can be prevented. That’s why we continue to spread awareness of how good advice can be turned into concrete actions that reduce the risk of cancer.

Red Cross Business Club 2024

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Red Cross Business Club, which was established to provide companies with an opportunity to take social responsibility and help vulnerable people worldwide.

As a member of the Red Cross Business Club, Millarco International contributes to ensuring that the Red Cross can keep its promise to always be present for those in need—both in Denmark and worldwide when disasters strike.

Millarco International is proud to have supported the Red Cross Business Club since 2022 and looks forward to continuing this meaningful collaboration.

Food Safety Smiley

Millarco products intended for food use are inspected and approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration during routine control visits. We are therefore part of the Smiley Scheme, which evaluates food safety standards in businesses. Companies are awarded a smiling or less smiling face based on their compliance with food regulations.
